“I’m not perfect, just intentional” – Dr. Kambar Khoshaba

With nearly three decades of service in the field of education, twenty-two of which have been in school leadership, Dr. S. Kambar Khoshaba weaves a tapestry of knowledge in this heartfelt and practical guide to improving and creating a positive school culture by making it PERSONAL. He earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at George Washington University.  Khoshaba was named the VA Leadership Principal of the Year in 2019, the Outstanding Middle School Principal of VA in 2021, and a VASCD IMPACT AWARD in 2023. Khoshaba is a pioneer in creating programs that provide equity and support to marginalized groups through the vehicle of student voice. He has been featured by the US Department of Education and served as a panelist for Education Week for his work in school culture and student voice. Khoshaba regularly contributes content to NASSP's Principal Leadership magazine as well as Education Week. In the challenging post-pandemic climate of today, Khoshaba states, “As we saw the holes in our educational system during Covid, we realized education can't be a one-size-fits-allapproach, and we have to rethink the way we take care of kids in schools.” In the modern classroom, we must make it PERSONAL. Dr. S. Kambar Khoshaba works tirelessly to serve the educational needs of our most precious resource in society, our kids.
